Eight patterns.
One wardrobe
that actually fits
you.
A guided capsule for curvy, modest sewists. We build it together, piece by piece, using the 4F Method — so every make fits, flatters, functions, and feels like you.
Fall cohort begins October 5 · enrollment closes September 27
A capsule that works together, in colors that work on you
Not fifteen random patterns. Eight considered pieces — tops, pants, a skirt, a jacket, a dress — cut in a Fall palette of camel, olive, cream, rust, and black. Sew them and you’ve got a wardrobe that mixes and re-mixes into more outfits than you’d think.
Fit
Adjustments for a real curvy body — hips, seat, bust — not a fantasy block.
Flatter
Proportion, line, and print placement that work with your shape.
Function
Layering and construction that hold up to how you actually dress.
Feel Fabulous
The finish and detail that make you reach for it again and again.
Your eight pieces
Four of these we sew together, step by step, on camera — one for each pillar of the 4F Method. The other four complete the capsule. You plan them during the cohort and sew them on your own time afterward; we don’t film sew-alongs for those four.

Sketches shown are working design drawings — finished pattern covers will replace them before launch. Gold-tagged pieces are the four anchors we sew together, included whichever way you join. The remaining four are the Complete the Capsule add-on: $60 at checkout with the course, $40 for monthly members, and already yours if you join annually.
Latisha releases September 11 and is delivered to Blueprint members on release.
Everything you need to make the four anchor pieces
The Blueprint isn’t a folder of files. It’s a guided make, with the teaching, the patterns, and the room to ask questions along the way.
- Four guided sew-alongs — one per 4F pillar, filmed start to finish
- The 4F Method taught in full — the fit thinking, not just the steps
- Private cohort thread — sew alongside women making the same pieces
- Fit help for a curvy body — the modesty and shape modifications
- The four anchor patterns — Saida, Latisha, Naima & Karima, included
- Four live check-ins — Oct 15, Oct 22, Nov 5 & Nov 12, all 7pm ET, recorded
- The printable Blueprint binder — plan your palette, fabric & fit notes
- Complete the Capsule option — add the other four patterns for $60 at checkout
How the six weeks run
You get a prep week before we start, five sewing weeks, and a catch-up week at the end with no new garment content — because life happens and you shouldn’t have to sew through it.

Thu Nov 12 · Feel Fabulous clinic on Karima, plus open catch-up
Naima gets two weeks because it’s the hardest garment in the capsule. Karima gets one week with the catch-up week right behind it — so in practice it’s two, if you need two. Every check-in is 7pm ET and recorded within 24 hours.
New content drops. You have the week to read, plan, fit, cut, and sew.
Group fit clinic on the garment from the week just finished, using photos and questions you submit.
Community share thread. Post what you made, what fought you, and what you figured out.
What a week actually asks of you: Two to five hours, depending on the garment and where you are with your sewing. Saida sits at the low end. Naima is the reason the high end exists — and why it gets two weeks.
Finishing means four, not eight. Your cohort goal is four fitted anchor garments plus a finished plan for the remaining four pieces. Nobody is sewing eight garments by November 15, and you’re not behind if you don’t.

Three ways to join
However you come in, you get the course and the four anchor patterns to make it. The difference is how much of the wider CMC pattern library comes with you.
The Course
The Blueprint, on its own.
- The full Fall cohort & four sew-alongs
- The four anchor patterns, included
- The Blueprint binder & the 4F Method
- Complete the Capsule — add the other four patterns for $60 at checkout
MOST COMES WITH IT
Collective · Annual
$36 more than the course alone — plus the entire pattern library.
- Everything in the course, anchor patterns included
- The full CMC pattern library — all eight capsule pieces, and every pattern before and since
- Nothing left to complete or add on
- New patterns as they drop, all year
Collective · Monthly
Course included. Patterns from your join date forward.
- Everything in the course, anchor patterns included
- Every new pattern from the day you join
- 50% off any standalone pattern — members only
- Complete the Capsule at the member rate — $40 for the other four
- Cancel anytime; keep access to your paid period
A note on honesty, because it matters here: monthly members receive patterns from their join date forward — so if you want all eight capsule pieces without adding them on, the annual library is the simplest path. The course itself, and the four patterns you sew in it, come with every door.
The Fall cohort is capped at 50. That number isn’t a sales tactic. It’s how many people I can look at fit photos for and still be useful to each one. When it fills, it fills, and the next cohort is Spring.
One honest word before you choose a door. If you’ve never finished a garment start to finish, I’d wait for the Spring cohort. This is built for a confident beginner and up — someone who can follow a pattern unassisted and put in a zipper. The Naima jacket is a real jacket: princess seams, an exposed zipper, a band collar. I’d rather you come to it ready than come to it now and stall in week five.
If it isn't right, tell me
Come into the first two weeks. Watch the Saida sew-along, work through the fit chapter, and see how it lands.
If it isn’t what you needed, email me by October 19 and I’ll refund you. No form, no explanation required. I’d rather you spend that money on fabric than sit in a room you don’t want to be in.
Hi, Sis — I'm Zahiyya
I spent 25+ years in the NYC fashion industry before I built Cover Me Chic. I know what it’s like to love sewing and still feel like the patterns weren’t cut with your body — or your modesty — in mind. The Blueprint is the thing I wish I’d had: a small, steady way to build a wardrobe that fits the real you, with people who get it. No hype. No pressure. Just good work, done together.
A few honest answers
Do I need all eight patterns to take the course?
No. The course teaches four anchor pieces — Saida, Latisha, Naima, and Karima — and those four patterns are included whichever way you join. The other four round out the capsule if you want the full wardrobe. They’re $60 at checkout with the course, $40 for monthly members, and already included if you join annually. We don’t sew those four together in the cohort; you plan them during Week 6 and make them on your own time.
If I join monthly, do I get all eight patterns?
You get the four anchor patterns with the course, plus every new pattern from your join date forward. The other four capsule pieces aren’t automatically in a monthly plan unless they drop after you join — so if you want all eight the simplest way, the annual library includes them. I’d rather tell you that plainly than have you find out later.
Am I ready for this?
This is built for a confident beginner and up. That means you’ve finished at least one garment start to finish, you can follow a pattern without someone next to you, and you can put in a zipper. If that’s you, the sew-alongs go step by step and the check-ins are there for the moments you get stuck.
If you’ve never completed a garment, I’d honestly rather you wait for the Spring cohort. The Naima jacket has princess seams, an exposed zipper, and a band collar, and it arrives in week three. I’d rather tell you that now than take your $147 and watch you stall.
How much time does it take each week?
Two to five hours a week. Where you land in that range depends on the garment and on where you are with your sewing — Saida is the quickest of the four, and the Naima jacket is the longest, which is why it gets two weeks instead of one.
That’s sewing time. Add a little on top for the Monday lesson and the Thursday check-in if you come live, though the check-ins are recorded if Thursday evenings don’t work for you.
What's the difference between the cohort and the course?
The course is the material — the videos, the four anchor patterns, the binder, the 4F teaching. That stays available to you through your membership after November 15.
The cohort is the room: the private thread, the four live fit clinics, and a group of women moving through the same piece in the same week. That has a real cutoff. Enrollment closes September 27 and I don’t add people midway, because half the value is that everyone is on the same page at the same time. If you miss it, the next cohort is Spring — the material isn’t going anywhere.
What if I fall behind the cohort?
Life happens, and this is built for real life. Week 6 is a catch-up week on purpose — no new garment content — so a bad fortnight in the middle doesn’t end your Blueprint.
Your access doesn’t expire when the cohort ends. The videos, patterns, and binder stay yours to work through at your own pace, and the cohort thread stays open through December 31, so you’re not sewing alone the week after everyone else finishes.
What if I join and it isn't for me?
Email me by October 19 — two weeks into the cohort — and I’ll refund you. No form and no explanation needed.
What does "modest" mean here?
Whatever it means to you. We don’t hand you one rulebook. The fit teaching includes the modifications to take coverage where you want it — fuller, longer, more relaxed — so the pieces meet the line you draw for yourself.
If I buy the course and want the full membership later, do I pay twice?
No. If you take the course on its own and decide you want the full library, your $147 goes toward the annual membership — you’d pay the difference, not the whole thing again. That offer stays open through December 31.
