Cover Me Chic sizing guide

Made for curves. Designed to fit beautifully.

At Cover Me Chic, we don’t believe in squeezing into sizes that weren’t made with your body in mind. Our patterns are thoughtfully drafted with a curvy fit block that prioritizes the areas where most patterns fall short: the waist, hips, and butt. Whether you’re sewing for yourself or for someone you love, use this guide to choose a size that actually honors your shape—without compromise.

How Our Sizing Works

Our sewing patterns are available in sizes XS–4XL (0–30), with body measurements listed in both inches and centimeters. We specialize in a curvy-friendly fit, with extra attention to:
  • A natural waist that isn’t too high or too low
  • Hip and seat shaping for fuller bottoms and rounder silhouettes
  • Balanced proportions through the bust, waist, and hips

Don’t be surprised if you fall into more than one size category. That’s totally normal—and we’ll show you how to grade between sizes for a perfect custom fit.

Where to Measure

how to measure your body
  1. Chest Circumference
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, across the nipples and parallel to the floor. Wear the bra you’ll wear with the garment for the most accurate fit.

  2. Natural Waist
Measure around your waist where your body naturally creases when you bend side to side. This is typically 1″ above your belly button.

  3. Hip Circumference
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and butt. This is the most important measurement for our patterns—don’t skip it!

Grading Between Sizes

Your measurements don’t line up with a single size? That’s common! Our patterns are drafted with grading in mind so you can blend sizes to match your bust, waist, and hip individually.
