What’s the difference between Monthly and Annual?
Monthly gives you the current pattern + new patterns while you’re active. Annual includes everything in Monthly plus full access to the Pattern Library while you’re active.
I don’t have a ton of time to sew every month.
Life is full. The membership is designed to be flexible. You can:

I’m not an advanced sewist. Is this going to be too hard?
Yes. CMC is beginner-friendly for confident beginners and intermediate sewists. If you can sew a straight stitch and you’re willing to learn as you go, you’re good. Each pattern comes with step-by-step guidance, and when you hit a “wait… what does that mean?” moment, you can ask inside the community and get support.

I already follow free tutorials on YouTube — why pay for this?
Free tutorials are great — but they can leave you with half-finished projects and more confusion than clarity. The Collective gives you structure, guidance, and support to turn inspiration into actual garments that fit and flatter.

I’m Zahiyya, the designer and patternmaker behind Cover Me Chic.
For over 25 years, I worked in the fashion industry as a design director for mass-market athletic and streetwear brands — managing teams, developing products, and learning exactly how garments are built to fit (and where they fail curvy bodies).
I started Cover Me Chic because I was tired of seeing modest, curvy women treated as an afterthought. I wanted patterns that:

- Celebrated our curves
- Felt current, elevated, and wearable
