Sew clothes that
honor your curves,
your values,
and your style

The CMC Collective is a monthly sewing membership for modest, curvy women who are done “making it work” with patterns that were never drafted for their bodies in the first place.

  • Monthly modest, curve-friendly PDF pattern designed for real bodies
  • Step-by-step video tutorial so you’re never guessing what comes next
  • Practical fit tips for fuller busts, tummies, hips, and arms
  • A supportive community of women who actually get why modest + stylish matters

You don’t need another random pattern.

You need a clear path, support, and designs that already respect your curves and your modesty.

love your handmade wardrobe

Imagine this for a second…

You walk into your closet and everything you’ve sewn actually feels like you. No tugging. No safety pins. No “if I just lose ten pounds this might work.”

Just clothes that:

  • Cover what you want covered
  • Highlight what you love about your body
  • Move with your life — school runs, work, Eid, Jumu’ah, date night, girls’ brunch

That’s what the CMC Collective is built for.

This isn’t “one more PDF pattern club.”
It’s a sewing home for modest, curvy women who want:

  • Patterns that start with your body in mind
  • A way to grow your skills without feeling overwhelmed
  • Encouragement from women walking the same journey

Inside the Collective, you’re not sewing alone at your dining table hoping it works. You’re sewing with a guide, a community, and a plan.

01

A brand-new modest, curve-friendly pattern every month

Think: tops, dresses, pants, kimonos, and layering pieces that make sense for real life — all drafted for curves and a modest aesthetic from day one.

You’ll see:

  • Higher necklines
  • Thoughtful coverage through the arms and legs
  • Design details that feel current, not frumpy
tutorial and resource library

02

Step-by-step video tutorials

No guessing. No “wait, how did we get from step 4 to step 10?”

You’ll be able to:

  • Watch the full sew-through at your own pace
  • Pause, rewind, and rewatch as needed
  • Sew alongside someone who actually explains why we’re doing what we’re doing

03

Fit tips for curves (without body shaming)

We focus on my 4F approach — Fit, Flatter, Function, Feel Fabulous.

You’ll learn:

  • How to adjust for a fuller bust without losing modesty
  • How to handle hip/thigh differences
  • When to size up, size down, or blend sizes
  • Small tweaks that make your clothes look custom, not “homemade”
flattering your body

04

Supportive community space

Think of it like a virtual sewing circle.

  • Share your work in progress and finished makes
  • Ask questions when you get stuck
  • Get feedback and cheerleading from women who understand modest fashion

05

Live support (Q&A and coaching sessions)

You’ll have opportunities to get live help on:

  • Fit issues
  • Fabric choice
  • Styling and outfit ideas
  • How to make this membership actually work with your life and time
video lessons

Growing resource library

As the membership grows, so does your access.

  • Past tutorials
  • Fit mini-lessons
  • Style ideas
  • Practical tools that make each new project easier than the last

Ready to sew clothes that feel like they were made for you — because they were?

You need a clear path, support, and designs that already respect your curves and your modesty.

Is the CMC Collective right for me?

Life is full. The membership is designed to be flexible. You can:

  • Download the pattern and sew later
  • Watch tutorials in small chunks
  • Choose which months you sew and which you save

The goal isn’t to sew everything. The goal is to make steady progress and build a wardrobe you love.

The goal isn’t to sew everything. The goal is to make steady progress and build a wardrobe you love.

Think of all the fabric stashed in your closet from projects that didn’t work out. The Collective helps you stop wasting money on clothes that don’t fit and start sewing pieces you’ll actually wear. This isn’t an expense — it’s an investment in confidence and savings. Also, you can cancel your membership at any time. We have a flexible cancellation policy, and refunds may be available based on your membership plan and the timing of the cancellation.

Maybe you’ve joined memberships before and felt let down — that’s normal. The difference with the CMC Collective is structure, support, and community designed just for curvy, modest sewists. You’re not getting another library of patterns; you’re getting a proven framework that makes sure you actually use them.

You don’t have to be a natural stylist to create outfits you love. With the Collective, you’ll learn how to choose fabrics, colors, and silhouettes that work together — like following a recipe that guarantees great results. Creativity grows the more you practice it.

There’s no falling behind here. The Collective is designed for you to pick up where you left off, with no guilt trips. Your sewing journey moves at your pace — and every step is a win.

Not every pattern will be your favorite — and that’s okay. Each design is versatile, hackable, and teaches you skills you’ll use across your whole wardrobe.

Free tutorials are great — but they can leave you with half-finished projects and more confusion than clarity. The Collective gives you structure, guidance, and support to turn inspiration into actual garments that fit and flatter.

This isn’t about collecting more. It’s about finally using what you have. The Collective helps you pair fabrics with the right patterns so your stash becomes a wardrobe.

Modesty doesn’t mean sacrificing style. In fact, the Collective proves you can create clothes that are chic, modern, and completely you — without compromise.

You don’t need to be a tech pro to join. The Collective is designed to be simple and beginner-friendly, so you can focus on what you love: sewing, not troubleshooting. To access our online resources, you’ll need a computer or mobile device with internet access.

“It feels like sewing with a big sister cheering you on.”
“I love that I can ask questions without feeling judged. The community is kind, and the patterns feel current without sacrificing modesty. I’m actually excited to get in my sewing room again.”

Designer Zahiyya of Cover Me Chic

Meet Your Guide, Zahiyya

I’m Zahiyya, the designer and patternmaker behind Cover Me Chic.

For over 25 years, I worked in the fashion industry as a design director for mass-market athletic and streetwear brands — managing teams, developing products, and learning exactly how garments are built to fit (and where they fail curvy bodies).

I started Cover Me Chic because I was tired of seeing modest, curvy women treated as an afterthought. I wanted patterns that:

  • Respected our values
  • Celebrated our curves
  • Felt current, elevated, and wearable

Now, through the CMC Collective, I’m teaching everything I know — from fit and pattern adjustments to styling and sewing confidence — so you can create a wardrobe that feels like you: true to self, modest, and chic.
